For Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
The ODS has developed a privacy policy to ensure information management practices comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Document Act (PIPEDA). A copy of the ODS Privacy Policy is available on the ODS website at www.ottawadentalsociety.org.
The Ottawa Dental Society is a volunteer association. The Ottawa Dental Society collects information mainly through its registration forms. By completing the registration form you are consenting to the continued use of your personal information. This information is used to communicate and provide members with activities and services related to organizing and operating a local professional association. This includes things such as organizing an ongoing education program, organizing member representation activities, conducting fundraising activities, and other communications and activities necessary for the ongoing operations of the Ottawa Dental Society.
When you join the Society for the first time, you consent to allow the Society to provide your contact information to other Society members upon their request.
Our registration list and personal information contained therein is forwarded to the Ontario Dental Association for their activities in organizing, coordinating and providing dental professional association activities at the provincial and national level. The Ontario Dental Association has its own Privacy Policy, which it circulates to members.
The ODS does not sell or disclose mailing lists, fax lists or e-mail lists to third parties. For a fee, we do mailings on behalf of appropriate third parties.
Please note that you may withdraw your consent at any time by advising the ODS in writing. However, if you withdraw your consent, you may not be able to continue to receive benefits, services, products or programs from the ODS that require the use of disclosure of your personal information.
