An Active Associate is a dentist who is not eligible to join as an Active Member as they do not live or work in the geographical area of the Ottawa Dental Society, as established by the Ontario Dental Association. Active Associates must be members of the Ontario Dental Association if they live or work in Ontario, or their corresponding Provincial or State Association if living or working outside of Ontario. Active Associates in good standing have all the rights and privileges of Active Members; however, they may not vote or hold office. Good standing shall be defined as having paid the current membership dues for the Ottawa Dental Society and the Ontario Dental Association or their Provincial or State Association
